Brief: Develop a cohesive brand identity and surface design collection for a children’s summer apparel line centered around playful, sport-inspired animal characters.
Outcome: Little Champs is a children’s apparel concept that encourages outdoor play through bold, character-driven design. The collection includes a series of graphic t-shirts paired with coordinated shorts. Additional pieces, including pajama sets and a dress, expand the system while maintaining visual consistency. The project demonstrates the development of a cohesive brand and pattern system that can scale across a full product line.
Target Audience: Little Champs is designed for children ages 8–12 with active, adventurous lifestyles who enjoy outdoor play and sports-inspired activities. Positioned at a mid-range price point, the collection appeals to Millennial and older Gen Z parents seeking durable, comfortable apparel that encourages creativity and movement.
Fabric Considerations: The collection is designed for cotton jersey and cotton-spandex jersey knit fabrics, providing softness, breathability, and flexibility for active children. Lightweight French terry is recommended for shorts to enhance comfort and durability, while all fabrics are selected to withstand frequent washing and everyday wear. Graphic elements and coordinated patterns are intended for digital textile printing and screen printing, ensuring vibrant colors and long-lasting designs across the collection.
